What is Esketamine?
Esketamine is a revolutionary medication used to treat depression, particularly when traditional antidepressants haven’t been effective or during periods of severe depressive symptoms. Unlike conventional antidepressants that affect serotonin, esketamine acts on glutamate receptors in the brain, offering a different mechanism of action and potentially quicker relief.
