What is an ADHD Assessment?
An ADHD assessment with us is a thorough evaluation designed to determine if you meet the criteria for an ADHD diagnosis. We use evidence-based methods, including questionnaires, clinical interviews, and information from family members, to provide a comprehensive picture of your needs. Our ADHD Process
Step 1: Your Referral
All of our ADHD Assessments start the same way, with your self-referral or a referral from another practitioner. You can contact us by phone at 0800 844 5257, email us or use the form below to get in touch!

Step 2: Pre-Assessment Questionnaires
Once we have received your referral, you will complete some essential online questionnaires. You will then be invited to attend for your assessment, either online or in-person in our clinic.

Who is a suitable informant?
An informant who has known you since childhood must be present at one if not both of your appointments. This should be a parent or a significantly older sibling.
What if I don't have an Informant?
If you are unable to attend with an informant, please make the clinic aware at your earliest opportunity, and please note: this could impact whether a diagnostic conclusion can be reached.

Step 3: Your Clinical ADHD Assessment
Once you have completed all of the Pre-Assessment Questionnaires, you can start your ADHD Assessment. Our ADHD Assessment process consists of two major components:
- A Structured, Questionnaire-Based Assessment: This takes place virtually and generally lasts between 60 to 90 minutes.
- A Clinical Interview: This can take place either virtually or face-to-face in our Warrington clinic. It will generally last between 60 to 90 minutes.

What happens if I am diagnosed with ADHD?
If you do receive a diagnosis of ADHD, you will be offered a post-diagnostic appointment to discuss resources that may help you with your symptoms. If you would like to discuss medication options, a further appointment will be required with our titration team. Keep reading the next step to learn more about what happens next!
What happens if I am not diagnosed with ADHD?
If you do not receive a diagnosis, you will be discharged from our ADHD service back to the care of your GP.
Recommendations or further signposting may be included within your report if applicable. If you are under our service for any other assessment, this discharge will not affect any other assessments and only relates to the ADHD pathway.
Step 4: Treatment & After your ADHD Assessment
If you are diagnosed with ADHD after your Clinical ADHD Assessment, you can discuss treatment options with our qualified doctors and clinicians to see what treatment options are available for you. The choice is yours; we are here to help you with any support you need in managing your symptoms while living with ADHD.

What happens if I want treatment?
